![]() Structured Wiring Installation Photographs The heart of a structured wiring project is the home panel, pictured left with its front cover removed. All the wiring for the whole house installation comes here, and this junction box is typically located in a closet or garage. View of HOME box in a closet next to the kitchen.
In the smaller photo, wires end at a mount for a control panel. At the end of the project, the wires are carefully trimmed and attached to the installed control panel. Let's follow a wiring bundle as it goes through the house. ![]() We are looking upwards at the roof trusses. Note the wiring bundle (dark and light wires together). The wiring is out of the way, kept separate from the AC lines, and routed securely between the roof and the ceiling. ![]() Again looking upward, here the wiring bundle from previous photo comes in from the right (pictured at top of this photo). As the bundle works its way to the left, wires branch out to go to their various destinations. Typical room termination ![]() Finally one branch off the low-voltage wiring trunk line is routed into a room to the light orange wall box that will host a control switch or dial. This particular switch faces the hallway. The dark object to the left are the AC lines to light switches and power sockets which face inward to the bathroom.
